| Welcome to Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill. These are tremendously exciting times for the Academy and we are delighted to be working in partnership with our students, their families and the wider community to release their enormous potential | ![]() |
Oasis Academy Lord's Hill has been open since September 2008, following the merger of two local schools. Our experiences over the past two years, with the challenges we have faced, have made us a strong and ambitious community. We are well equipped for the exciting journey ahead.
The opportunity to work with young people, who are often unfairly characterised negatively in the media is immensely rewarding, Our experience of our young people is extremely positive. We are passionate about each individual and their learning, we want to encourage each and everyone to become involved within society and change it for the better. We will prepare our young people for our changing world, with each individual able to develop their own viewpoint and to stand up for the things they are passionate about, whilst remembering that in a community we are stronger together in relationship with one another.
Oasis Academy: Lord's Hill is based at the Fairisle Road site and we have an annex at Green Lane. We moved to a single site afer two years based on split sites. The annex at Green Lane is now home to our community programme. It also houses the 'Down to Earth' farm and a number of other projects.
Our new building is due to open in September 2012 and the emerging plans for this project are extremely exciting. Whilst these facilities will provide tremendous opportunities for future students, we are committed to offering excellent provision right now. Students are stretched and challenged to become young people of whom we can be truly proud. All students are treated as individuals; there is no 'one size fits all' approach. Personalised learning is a key approach within the Academy, giving students the education they need and want, and engaging them in their curriculum. Learning is active, hands on and fun. Whilst we cannot predict the future for any student, we can give them the skills that will enable them to successfully navigate their way through life.
We are 'for people and for community' and are committed to establishing a hub in the locality that will support young people and families in a holistic manner, engaging in youth work, health care, family support and spiritual development.
As we continue on our journey we will be guided by our mission, our values and our vision. We look forward to you joining us on this exciting adventure.

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
