On Tuesday December 6th representatives of over 10,000 secondary school age children will meet to discuss the challenge of youth volunteering.
Members of the Oasis Youth Theatre Juniors Group enjoyed an afternoon outing to the Nuffield Theatre to see 'The Borrowers'. The lively performance encouraged the 'booing and cheering' of a traditional pantomime and much fun was had by all.
Staff at the farm said a big thank you to the wonderful farm volunteer work force by throwing them a Christmas Party. The farm would not be able to stay open without the commitment and dedication of this fabulous team.
During the week of 5th December, all students will be involved in learning about the benefits and risks of Internet use, and most importantly how to stay safe. There will also be an open session on Monday 12th December for parents and carers.

Students of the Academy Breakfast Club invite you to join our ‘Berries for Breakfast Campaign’. As part of the Academy 'Healthy Schools Initiative' we would like to encourage everyone to learn about the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast and we suggest 'berries' as a versatile and tasty option.
At the end of September, 11 of our year 11 Sports Leaders were asked to help Eastleigh based charity Open Sight at an exhibition they were running at The Rose Bowl. This was no ordinary exhibition.

The Oasis Youth Theatre’s very own Charlie Wheeller performed with seven other BBC ‘So you think you can dance’ finalists, in a show they had developed themselves, at the Swan Theatre in Worcester on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September. Students at the Academy who make a real effort in their ICT work this coming year may receive a Special Achievement Award for Effort and Commitment in ICT thanks to Chris Devrell, Director of Hampshire firm CDEV Computing Ltd.
Staff from the Academy were delighted to meet students on site to hand out exam results. Many students had achieved more than they ever thought they were capable of and spirits were generally high. There will no doubt be numerous well deserved celebrations. Overall, Academy results were up again this year with Oasis Academy Lord's Hill again demonstrating that it is one of the fastest improving schools in the City.
Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill are delighted to announce that their GCSE results have substantially improved for the second year in a row. The percentage of students passing 5+A*-C’s including English and Maths at GCSE level is 44% rising from a starting point of 26% in 2009 and 40% last year. The percentage of students passing 5+A*-C’s in all other areas is 75% once again an increase on starting figures of 51% in 2009 and last year’s figure of 64%.

Academy staff undertake a 50 mile cycle ride to raise money for a new charity, 'Testlands Support Project', set up by ex Academy pupils Luke Newman, Joe Crook and Dan Annetts.
Year 10 Vehicle Maintenance BTEC students enjoyed a trip to RAF Hendon to learn about the evolution of aircrafts and their engines.
Year 7 students visited Corfe Castle in Dorset to support the work they have been doing on the Norman Conquest.
On Monday 11th April, Academy students from the School Council, met with peers across the country as they attended the Global Summit to Stop The Traffik at Oasis Academy Enfield.
On Wednesday 4th May, a coach left Southampton for Birmingham. On it were a party from Lord’s Hill and from our sister academy, Oasis Mayfield. We were off to the second National Oasis Awards Ceremony at the ICC in the heart of Birmingham.

Students from years 11 and 10 spent a residential weekend at Calshot Activity Centre supported by Academy staff, achieving things they simply didn't believe they could do. They skied, climbed, hung precariously (but safely) from ropes and enjoyed a whole range of other team activities

The Oasis 'Down to Earth' Farm on the Green Lane site is currently developing a new initiative to offer adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to gain new life skills and participate in a real work programme
During the week of 14th-18th March students and staff at the Academy took the time to learn more about the work of Oasis in Beira, Mozambiqu, and undertook a number of fund raising activities to support the Oasis team there.
