'Outstanding promotion of community cohesion', 'significant improvements in every area', and 'significant rise in GCSE results' are just some of the comments made by the inspection team who compiled the report following their visit to the Academy on September 15th and 16th.
Other key findings were that 'inclusion is at the heart of the Academy's vision and evident in its work. Staff go the extra mile to engage students through a highly flexible and broad range of personalised learning pathways'.
The report noted that students 'benefit from teaching that is mostly good and sometimes outstanding,' and that this has obviously supported the big rise in achievement at GCSE.
Students described their school to the inspectors as 'a big family'
Summing up his thoughts about the report, Principal Ian Golding said " I am delighted with it's findings. Everyone at the Academy has been working really hard ever since we opened in September 2008, and this Ofsted Report will be very encouraging for staff, students, and our parents and carers.
However, there is no room for complacency. We are committed to raising standards and we will continue to do so."

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
