50 mile cycle ride - a doddle!

Testlands support project has been set up to achieve one aim – give children the best opportunity to succeed not only in school, but in life. Ex Academy pupils Luke Newman, Joe Crook and Dan Annetts are hoping their new charity is going to help children of all ages and abilities who are maybe less fortunate, or on the other hand, need a push in the right direction to accomplish and solve their problems. The charity is carrying out a number of events in order to give support and help to whoever needs them and to hopefully effectively change lives for the better.

Part of this charity is ‘Support a Student’ where money is raised to help students from 12 schools in Southampton, who are in need in some ways; it could be they are disabled or gifted and talented and need equipment that parents cannot afford.

On Saturday 18th June 2011 the charity organised a 50 mile sponsored bike ride through the New Forest and they persuaded staff at the Academy to get involved.

Some people rode as individuals, some in teams - competition was fierce!

The ride took place through out the whole new forest, with a large 50 mile track starting and finishing at the well known  Bolton's Bench in Lyndhurst.

Some did it in style --- Some did it with 'less style. Much fun was had by all though and the money raised will help change lives.

The charity is still taking donations towards the ride. If you would like pledge any money towards the event or charity, or you would like to see what else they have planned then PLEASE contact  TSP@testlandsmc.com.  All donations are received with great appreciation. The charity would love to be able to help as many children who need or deserve the help as they possibly can.

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
