CDEV Computing Limited recently donated a set of PC World ICT vouchers to the Academy for the Academy to use as they saw fit to support the ICT work of their students.
Lisa Walton, Head of ICT at the Academy decided to use the vouchers to create a student Special Achievement Award for Effort and Commitment in ICT. At the end of term last summer the first six awards were made in Academy assembly to students who had not only made progress but who had really worked conscientiously to achieve this.
In the coming year another seven awards will be made at Christmas and a further seven next summer.
Mr Devrell explained to the Academy that he had a long standing connection with the Lordshill area and that each year his company liked to give something back to the community. He hoped students at the Academy would get a real benefit from the vouchers.
The Academy is very grateful to Mr Devrell and CDEV Computing Limited for their generous support.
