At Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill, we believe in a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs of students.

The Academy operates a one-week timetable cycle, with five sixty minute lessons each day. To support effective teaching, students are set in English, Mathematics and Science based on the prior and current attainment. On a Tuesday afternoon, all students in the Academy follow a Citizenship and Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE) course with their tutor.

Year 10 and 11:

We believe that it is essential to ensure that students are on the correct courses and curriculum pathways are matched carefully to student needs.

All students study for GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Combined Science. All students will then choose a number of subjects which run over the two years. The number of options available is dependent on the pathway an individual will follow.

The type of subjects offered are:

Humanities - Geography, History
Languages – French, Spanish
Arts – Art, Dance, Drama, Music
Technical Awards – Engineering, Hospitality, Health and Social Care
Other subjects, such as Media Studies, may also be offered
