Deputy Principals appointed for Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill

Oasis Community Learning is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Gaston and Ian Wright to Deputy Principal positions at Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill.

Mr Gaston and Mr Wright, both currently Deputy Heads at Millbrook Community School and Oaklands Community School respectively, will begin their new roles in September 2008 when the Academy opens.

The Principal for Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill has already been confirmed as Ian Golding who is looking forward to what the new leadership can achieve for Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill,

“I am extremely excited at the prospect of working with Paul and Ian, who not only bring continuity and experience to their roles but have much to contribute as we lead the new Academy together. Our priority is to establish a new culture and vision and to see the students of Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill introduced to exciting new opportunities that will increase their choices for their future careers.”

Councillor Peter Baillie, Cabinet member for Children’s Services and Learning at Southampton City Council, said

“We are delighted that Oasis are drawing the senior management teams from the existing schools. Paul Gaston and Ian Wright are well respected by colleagues and parents. Their input at Southampton’s new Academy will mean continuity for both staff and students as they make this exciting step forward.”
