Rewards
The Rewards programme is a vital aspect of school life as we feel it’s important to recognise and reward students when they consistently demonstrate out core values of being Proud, Kind and Determined and to be the best version of themselves.
Fab 4
The main mechanism we use for this is our very popular FAB 4 programme where teacher awards a minimum of 4 raffle tickets to students that have demonstrated our key values within the lesson and then these students make a choice as to which of the main 3 prize draw boxes to place their tickets in anticipation of the big live whole school draw on the last day of every half term! Some of the main prizes available to win to date have included a £75 Amazon voucher, JBL wireless headphones, Dominos Pizza party with FIFA/Just Dance/Mario Kart, Jump the queue pass for a whole half term for the winner and a friend at break and lunch, and a free ticket to our end of Year Rewards Trip to either Paulton’s Park (Yr 7 and 8) or Thorpe Park (Yr 9 and 10). There are also several runners up prizes during each draw to include £10 Amazon vouchers, Footballs, Basketballs, Spray sets and sweets/chocolates. Parents are notified each time their child receives a raffle ticket as we believe it’s important to share successes with their families.
Year Group Reward Celebration Assemblies
In addition to the FAB 4 programme, Reward Assemblies are held during the last week of each half term where hundreds of students are recognised and rewarded across many of the following categories (All students are awarded with a certificate and a prize).
- Subject award nominations
- Highest achieving FAB 4 points scorers
- Tutor nominations
- Pastoral nominations
- Head of Year nominations
- Attendance awards
End of Year Rewards Trips
At the end of each academic year, we run our two main Rewards Trips, and first refusal is given to those students that have consistently demonstrated their values of being Kind, Proud and Determined across the year.
Year 7 and 8: Paulton’s Park (Approximately 140 spaces overall)
Year 9 and 10: Thorpe Park (Approximately 120 spaces overall)
Pop up Games Room
A new addition to our Rewards offer is a pop-up Game Room in the Sports Hall where students are invited to spend an hour off timetable if they are among the highest achieving FAB 4 scorers at given stages across the year for their given year group.
The set up includes the following:
- FIFA on a big screen (PS5)
- Mario Kart on a big screen (SWITCH)
- 5 ft Pool tables x 5
- Air Hockey tables x 2
- Darts (soft point) x 6
- Giant Jenga x 3
- Giant Connect 4
- Giant Tetris
- Board games
