Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Role of Parents

We believe that all parents/carers have an important role to play in the education of their child. Therefore we try our best to ensure that parents/carers are made to feel welcome and valued. We recognise the role that you have played in shaping the development of your child, and the value in your partnership with their education going forward.

Reports are produced termly for all students and parents/carers to review progress in students’ subjects and attitude to learning.

Year 10 and Year 11 students will also receive their working grades in their reports to inform their plans post-16.

Parents’ Evenings are held (remotely or face-to-face dependent on circumstances) annually for each year group for individual conversations with your child’s tutor and subject teachers.

Home Learning is set by every subject in every year group using Microsoft Teams assignments. Parents can access further information on this here

We ask for parents and carers support with daily attendance at the academy. We operate a system of ‘same day’ texts and calls for all absences, ensuring that we follow safeguarding procedures.

Heads of Year are the first point of contact if parents or carers have a question they would like to discuss. Please telephone the academy or email info@oasislordshill.org if you wish to raise an enquiry.
