Work Experience
Work experience is a short-term, often unpaid, placement or role that allows individuals to gain firsthand exposure to a specific job or industry.
It helps develop key employability skill, such as teamwork and communication, while providing insight into workplace culture.
Key aspects of work experience include:
- Purpose: To build skills, confidence, and contacts, while helping to determine if a career path is suitable.
- Duration: 1 week 13 July to 17 July 2026
- Activities: Students may be expected to perform actual, supervised tasks similar to a regular employee.
Work experience is crucial for understanding employer expectations and bridging the gap between education and employment.
Your child will need to find their own placement, please refer to the work experience letter.
