Prefects at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill were once again invited to KPMG HQ on Thursday 13th February for a networking breakfast.
The event organised by Business in the Community, involved 15 students from the academy and a large variety of local and global employers including Barclays Bank, IT services and solutions provider, Fujtsu UK, Totton College and the City and Guilds group to name just a few.
Focussing on essential skills for business, our young people had the unique opportunity to discuss and share their career aspirations, and gain a real insight into what employers are looking for when entering the world of work for the first time.
Representing the group, Year 11 student Sid Singh spoke about the fantastic opportunities KPMG has provided for him and the other students and shared how it has helped him personally with his communication and teamwork skills.
Zoe Hill, Engagement Manager at Business in the Community said;
'The students are an absolute credit to the school. I had so many lovely comments from business employers about their conduct'.
The students really enjoyed the experience and we look forward to continuing our partnership with KPMG and Business in the Community in the future.
We would like to thank everyone involved for giving their time to talk and work with our students.
