Hospital Careers Fair

On Tuesday 2nd April, a group of Year 9 students attended University Hospital Southampton careers fair. The students got to talk to members of staff currently working in the profession and got to use specialist equipment that would not usually be available to them, including Ultrasound Scanners and Transmission Electron Microscopes. They were also able to extract their DNA from their cheek cells and resuscitate a dummy. It gave students an insight into the different jobs available in a hospital, including jobs that they had not thought about before.
