Students at the academy took centre stage on national television after welcoming ITV News into school in November to take part in an important conversation about artificial intelligence and mental health support.
During the visit, a group of students were invited to share their views on the growing role of AI in society, with a particular focus on how emerging technologies could be used to support mental health and wellbeing. The discussion highlighted students’ thoughtful perspectives on innovation, ethics, and the real-world impact of technology on young people.
In December, the filmed discussion was broadcast on ITV’s evening news, giving the students a national platform to voice their ideas and experiences. The feature showcased not only their confidence and insight, but also the academy’s commitment to encouraging meaningful dialogue around technology and wellbeing.
